This Limited Edition is a celebration of this milestone in cookery publishing.
The Green and Gold Cookery Book has been a feature of South Australian domestic life for more than 75 years. First published in 1923, the Green and Gold has sold more than 500,000 copies and influenced the cooking practices of thousands of South Australians. It was started as a fund raiser for King's College by four women from the Congregational and Baptist Unions. The school community contributed recipes and advertising space within the book was sold to offset the cost of publishing the original edition.
