Award-winning cookbook author Georgeann Brennan has joined with photographer Frankie Frankeny to whip up the very first cookbook inspired by the wildly outrageous food references that abound in the Seussian oeuvre. Filled with simple, scrumptious, wacky recipes for such foods as Cat in the Hat Pudding and Moose Juice and Schlopp, this unique cookbook will have the whole family hamming it up in the kitchen. There are over 40 rib-tickling recipes for breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, beverages and dessert including
- Pink Yink Ink Drink
- Fritz-Fed Fred Food Feast
- Jedd's Bed of Shrimp
- Cindy Lou Who-Wreaths
- Yots in Pots
- Daisy-Head Maysie Burgers
- Gertrude McFuzz-y Berries
- and of course, Green Eggs and Ham
This cookbook has imperial measurements, although there aren't a lot of ingredients or recipes that actually need precise measurements. A spill-proof laminated metric/imperial conversion sheet will be included with the book. Even though conversions can be a nuisance, kids can extend their arithmetic skills in a fun, practical way with these recipes.
